Schools and Universities
Many of the features which make Reeltime College such a useful tool for
professional users apply equally to schools and universities.
Using IT is such an important part of the educational process these
days - and there is a general shortage or trained IT teachers. Reeltime
College can act as a very flexible educational resource, which will help
students of almost any age to achieve an appropriate level of IT
competence.
Because the speed of progress through a course is automatically
adjusted to the individual student's learning ability, it makes it
possible to run classes with very mixed ability, from computer ace to
technophobe. The fast pupils don't get held back, and the slow ones aren't
left behind.
Technology Colleges and the Community Learning Network
Schools who have received NGfL standard funds have a responsibility to
make their resources available to the wider community. We have been
running a very successful pilot scheme with Hampstead School where IT
training was made available to parents and the public.
We are now in the process of developing that pilot into a
full scheme under the banner of the Community Learning Network. If you are
interested in participating, please email us.
