The Reeltime College service is new, so it's great to have positive
feedback already. Some of these are from our very patient
beta-testers.
Dear Mr. Taylor
I have been meaning to write to you for some weeks. I wanted to say how lucky
I was to have been introduced to Reeltime College & ILA through a
friend. I wish to express my thanks to the staff at the college. I am finding
the Learn Together Scheme course very helpful. I have truly found this
method of learning very absorbing, gentle, positive, flexible & suitable
to my needs. As there is no binding for time, I have been able to work
at my own convenience & at my own pace without any hassle of travelling
or pre- booking. Amazingly,contrary to my expectations there was
quite a feeling of one to one human contact. The technology based arrangement
of the course with video screen movies & interactive audio &
on line, makes one feel almost as if one was facing and listening to Mr
Jim Gatten in person.
The lessons are enjoyable and so much is covered. It is impossible to
retain everything. I shall have to go through the lessons over & over
again. I am quite slow (considering may youthful age of 72) and am still
on my first 3 CD Roms but hope to move on. There is so much to learn.
The course is beginning to give me confidence in my computer skills and
enabling me to communicate with my 12 & 13 year old grandsons on their
terms. It is a feeling of real sense of acheivement! I very happily
recommend this type of training to those I know.

It became increasingly easy as more lessons were covered and

I'm writing to say how very positive and useful I have found the
Reeltime College material. I think the teaching methodology behind it is
exemplary and I have fouind the Excel 97 (course) very clear and
helpful.
If Excel 97 is an example of the usual standard of training, I can
firmly recommend its use. It allows teachers at their own time and pace to
develop their skills directly without the need for time out of school.

Just a note to say how pleased
I am that I took the step of doing the Reeltime College ICT training
course in computers.
I found the course fun and easy to follow. No large, bulky manuals to plough through, just a disc
and a half an hour of my time every other day. The convenience and
flexibility all helped to make me stick to the course and follow it
through.
Within a very short time I had
established a good basic understanding and developed my own short
cuts.Most of all my
confidence in computer skills greatly exceeded my expectations, so
much so that I am now considered the computer "wizz" at home. I know that I could apply for
a job and not worry too much about using a computer. I also find
that my curiosity to know more has increased and I am still learning about
computers right now!
I highly recommend (already
have!) this course to anyone who wants to learn from home at their
own pace, in their own time.

As a trainer of Reeltime courses for 2 years now,* I
have found them to be a really great way to help my students - especially
the "novice". I know that my students go away feeling a real sense of
achievement. Of course, they have not only helped the novice but also
returners and I can quite proudly say that one of the courses has also helped a
hearing impaired person to learn because of the scripted text available
with Reeltime.
